At Quinta Bonita we offer specialized private psychiatric inpatient treatment. We take great pride in treating each patient as an individual with unique needs in a safe and peaceful environment, and in ensuring that they and their family are met with dignity, respect and professionalism.

Quinta Bonita admits patients requiring inpatient care for the treatment of symptoms associated with a range of psychiatric conditions, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.

Quinta Bonita's clinics are a bit like an emotional ER. Most of the patients admitted into our facilities are in crisis. Our aim is not only to alleviate the immediate crisis, but also to allow patients the opportunity to change the direction of their lives and to gain new momentum. We do this firstly by providing a containing “safety net” to contain the free fall that the patient’s symptoms have created. We then assess and manage so that the downward momentum is arrested. Finally, we refer the patient into a stream of process-driven therapy that will help generate an upward momentum towards recovery and health.

The difference between being admitted into an Quinta Bonita clinic, as opposed to a general hospital (where the treating psychiatrist may be based), is that at Quinta Bonita we make sure the time in hospital, away from families and work, is well spent. To this end, we offer daily programmes managed by experienced occupational therapists, clinical psychologists and teachers (art, literature, math, and physical activity). Few, if any, of these services are offered at General Hospitals.

Every patient admitted into an Quinta Bonita Clinic will be assigned a psychiatrist and psychologist and will also be referred to a programme stream that best fits the patient’s symptoms.
