Hacienda Uayamon, China Edzna

Strategically located 20 kilometers from the magnificent Mayan ruins of Edzna, Hacienda Uayamon encapsulates the grandeur of a glorious past, offering our guests a unique and unforgettable experience. Its walls, steeped in centuries of history, constitute a cultural treasure that provides refuge for both history enthusiasts and those who appreciate the rich biodiversity of the area.

The central patio of the hacienda, alongside its iconic “Ceiba” tree, over 100 years old, is now the heart of the house, extending a warm welcome to guests. In front of them stands the main house, built in the late 19th century, arranged on different levels, possibly built on a pre-Hispanic mound. The walls of the chapel, featuring the ancient irrigation system, still prevail.

A notable setting is the old machinery room, which now stands as the emblematic outdoor pool, built among carefully preserved ruins, stone walls, and pillars. Refreshing oneself and swimming in it transports one to another era, with the jungle as a backdrop.

The workers' houses have been converted into rooms. Completing the set is the Charity Hospital, offering a total of 12 rooms, including the master suites. Each room is uniquely decorated, featuring a Mayan hammock.
