I am American that had life limiting extreme spine injury. Dr. San Israel Torres restored life to me, brilliantly performing 2 surgeries that were very complex and had only become more so because I had also been to the “Vallarta Premier”, in despair after I was cast aside in my own country, with no surgeon willing to do anything more than “provide an opinion” (which was all very serious and clear cut) because the original injuries occurred due to severe malevolent actions of the original U.S. surgeon who left me in a horrific state. When I turned to Mexico for help, I found that it was still very rare to receive the willingness to be a true hero like Dr. Torres, yet also a brilliant diagnostician, massively talented and capable surgeon, AND a level of empathy that allows room for his courage, to perform what might be harder, much more effort, yet always coming from the most honorable position as a true physician, in days past, seemed more common. For the big or the small, there aren’t enough words for how lucky you would be to have the care of Dr. Torres. He is the surgeon that other physicians bring their family to.
